I’m sitting on calibre web and wondering the same thing. None of the offerings out there seem to be what I want, which is just a nice book download/upload interface that isn’t shit on mobile.

2·24 days agoI have to ask… are you sure it matters? Last time I had this happen the mobo was trying to use extremely incorrect settings by default and causing the ram to be extremely unstable. I had to enable xmp and manually put in the correct settings.

Honestly, you might want to look into proper server hardware. There are many out there that support dozens of drives, assuming you’re willing to go with a blade. Even if you explicitly want a tower, server hardware is where you’re going to get the best support.
You’ll most likely also want to increase the size of your drives. Assuming you’re being smart and utilizing RAID, you’re going to be losing a bunch of that storage.

1·28 days agoThe only alternative is to willingly leave over a hundred communities, some of which I have strong ties to, and never interact with the majority again.
That’s a big ask.

7·1 month agoI’ve been using Backblaze buckets to hold data I serve to friends with GameVault, and a few other things. Sitting at just shy of 1TB if memory serves? I’m paying about 4 bucks a month.
If you serve it through cloudflare, you aren’t charged for bandwidth. Which works out nicely because I use a cloudflare worker to redirect all download requests in GameVault. Super speedy downloads for my users, zero bandwidth coming off my home network.

15·1 month agoMy only resistance to leaving discord is that it’s where 99% of my gaming communities are. There’s no way I’m convincing hundreds of people to move off to something I self host, or to self host themselves. It’s just not feasible.
Really depends on when it was forked. I believe AI wasn’t used initially.
